NTN Donates to “Iwata City Tsunami Relief Fund” in Support of Disaster PreventionJanuary 23, 2015Press Releases

NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) donates a total of 15 million yen to the “Iwata City Tsunami Relief Fund” set up in Iwata City, where the company's largest production base is located, with the aim of aiding construction of coastal storm surge barriers and other facilities.

The “Iwata City Tsunami Relief Fund” was established in December 2013 with the aim of sourcing funding for measures to guard against tsumanis to protect the livelihood, physical safety and assets of citizens from any tsunamis that are expected in the future.

By cooperating with the relief fund, NTN, which operates Iwata Works and research and development facilities within the city, can aid in developing an environment that enables business continuity, as well as help keep employees and their families safe. Donating to community-based disaster prevention efforts is also part of contributions made to the local community.

A certificate outlining the details of the donation was handed to Iwata City Mayor Watanabe by NTN Managing Director Terasaka at the Iwata City Hall on December 16, 2014.
