Construction of NTN Noto Corporation Completed
NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) hereby announces that it has completed construction of a plant at NTN Noto Corporation (hereafter, NTN Noto) in Hakui-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture. NTN Noto was established for manufacturing bearings for industrial machinery.
1.Aim of the new plant
NTN has been expanding business in growing markets such as China, Southeast Asia, and also focusing on the industrial machinery business in particular, in line with the “Global Advance 2013” three-year medium-term management that began in April 2011.
The demand for construction machinery, wind-power generators, steel and mining is expected to increase around the world into the future. The newly completed NTN Noto will manufacture bearings used in these types of industrial machinery, and supplied to both customers in Japan and exported via the Port of Kanazawa to various global destinations as part of steps to increase sales.
Until now, industrial machinery bearings had been manufactured in the Kuwana region of Mie Prefecture. NTN Hakui Corp., NTN HoudatsuShimizu Corp. and NTN Shika Corp. have been established in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture from 2007 as part of risk diversion strategies, and to create a better production system for large bearings. This region has become the center of an integrated production system, covering pre processes through to finished products, as a means of shortening production lead times, reducing costs, and improving cost competitiveness.
2.Features of the plant building
