May 30, 2003 NTN Strengthens Corporate Compliance on Laws, Internal Rules and Ethical NormsNTN Corporation recently implemented sweeping revisions in its conventional "Corporate Conduct Guidelines," "Employee Conduct Guidelines" and "Business Code of Conduct." To enhance thorough corporate compliance on the part of all directors and employees throughout the NTN Group, the "(New) Business Code of Conduct," a document comprised of 25 categories, was drawn up to stipulate the fundamental criteria of business conduct for all business activity. NTN is redoubling its efforts to adhere to standards of corporate compliance, thereby increasing its ability to emerge as a genuine global corporation capable of sustaining consistently solid growth in the world marketplace. Establishing a "Help Line"A "Help Line" (In-house consultation contact point: Legal Department, external consultation contact point: a law firm) was established for all directors and employees of NTN group companies in Japan as a route for direct inquiries, consultations, reports and other contacts with the Corporate Ethics Committee in cases when consultations along the normal organizational lines prove difficult.
