NTN Corporation has created a new internal design for its precision grade¹⁾ angular contact ball bearings, providing higher axial loads for use in applications such as machine tool spindles. Sales of these bearings will commence soon as they are added to NTN's popular "ULTAGE Series ²⁾" of precision bearings.

Angular contact ball bearings must endure higher speeds and provide greater load capacity and stiffness to help boost machine tool efficiency and accuracy. This new series of precision grade angular contact ball bearings uses standard tool steel (bearing steel) and is the best in the world in terms of speed, load capacity and rigidity. These bearings will be widely sold around the world as NTN's next generation of standard bearings.

NTN's new internal design (inner race - outer race - retainer - balls) provides optimized air-oil flow for air-oil lubrication and superior retention and agitation of grease for applications requiring grease lubrication. This new series provides excellent rigidity and achieves the world's highest bearing speeds with the maximum axial load capacity available in angular contact ball bearings.
