Compact - Lightweight Sliding Type “NTN BEAREE Slide Guide”

NTN has developed a compact, lightweight, sliding type plastic linear guide. The “NTN BEAREE Slide Guide” offers savings in package size and weight for applications such as printers and other office equipment.

This “NTN BEAREE Slide Guide” is based on NTN's BEAREE technology, providing engineering plastics with superior sliding characteristics.

The “NTN BEAREE Slide Guide” operates under loads up to 50N, with friction levels about half that of sliding linear guides made by other companies. The weight of the standard NTN BEAREE Slide Guide (rail length 200 mm) is about 37 grams. This is about 1/3rd the weight of conventional “rolling type” ball slides and about 20 percent lighter than the existing sliding type. It allows compact design with a rail width of about half that of the conventional versions.

The “NTN BEAREE Slide Guide” is being marketed for light load applications, to take advantage of inherent features like low noise, low friction, light weight, and compact size and where NTN's competitive prices are typically 30 to 40 percent lower than linear ball-type guides.
