NTN Okayama Works Receives Chugoku Bureau of Economy,
Trade and Industry Director Award for Superior Energy Management at Plant
NTN Corporation's Okayama Works (Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture) received an award from the Chugoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Director as a superior plant (electricity category) in energy management for 2005.
NTN Okayama Works was highly rated for proactive approaches in rationalizing the use of energy, particularly electricity; including:
(1) | Centralized control of air conditioners (programmed intermittent operation) |
(2) | Plant roof heat insulation and special double structure |
(3) | Upgrading special high-voltage transformers to high-efficiency types |
(4) | Reduction in compressor pressure |
(5) | Conversion of coolant feed pumps to inverter types |
This award is presented to plants that promote and achieve major long-term success in energy conservation and that serve as models for others. The awards ceremony was held in Hacchobori Chanter in Naka-ku, Hiroshima as the "FY2005 Energy Conservation Monthly Award Ceremony".
